Designed as a compact two-way active studio monitor, the Solo6 combines Focal’s signature transparency with powerful low-frequency performance and an innovative Focus Mode that gives engineers two distinct monitoring perspectives from a single speaker. At the heart of the Solo6 is a 6.5-inch composite “W” cone woofer paired with a 1.5-inch Beryllium inverted-dome tweeter. The lightweight and rigid sandwich-cone construction helps deliver controlled bass, articulate midrange, and minimal distortion, while the Beryllium tweeter provides precise transient response and extended high-frequency reproduction. Focal’s TMD suspension technology further improves midrange neutrality by stabilizing the woofer suspension and reducing unwanted resonances. Engaging Focus Mode transforms the Solo6 from a two-way monitor into a single-driver, full-range reference system using only the woofer. This makes it easy to evaluate midrange balance, vocal placement, and mix translation without adding another pair of speakers to the studio. Rear-panel room-adjustment controls, a variable high-pass filter, a 160 Hz parametric EQ, and switchable automatic standby help the Solo6 adapt to desktop installations, meter bridges, dedicated monitor stands, and immersive audio systems.
