Built around a true tube VCA design, this dual-channel compressor/limiter combines the speed and control associated with VCA compression with the dimensional character and smooth response of an all-tube audio path. Whether you are gently controlling a vocal, adding authority to a drum bus, or pushing a stereo mix for more energy and movement, the LCA2B delivers compression that is powerful, responsive, and remarkably musical. Each of the LCA2B's two channels provides an independent compressor and limiter, while channel linking makes it equally capable as a stereo bus compressor. The compressor offers variable ratio and threshold controls along with continuously variable attack and release settings, giving engineers plenty of freedom to tailor the dynamics response to the source. Six additional attack/release presets provide classic Fairchild-inspired timing characteristics for quickly dialing in proven compression behavior. When more assertive peak control is required, the dedicated limiter provides its own variable threshold with fixed attack and release characteristics. Tube-Tech designed the LCA2B with the action of the legendary Fairchild 670 in mind, while creating an entirely different electronic design that maintains clarity and high-frequency transparency even when compression becomes aggressive. Its fast, smooth attack makes the LCA2B especially effective on drums and percussion, while its ability to move effortlessly from subtle control to heavy compression makes it equally useful on vocals, instruments, subgroups, parallel compression chains, and full mixes. Transformer-balanced, fully floating inputs and outputs complete a professional analog signal path designed for demanding studio and live applications.
