Paired with Josephson’s discrete FET cascode input stage and active transformerless output circuit, this design delivers low noise, wide dynamic range, and consistent performance across a broad range of mic preamps thanks to its low output impedance. Engineered For Durability
The C706’s case-hardened steel housing is engineered for sonic performance as much as durability. An internally shockmounted capsule assembly allows the microphone to mount directly to a stand via its integrated yoke, eliminating the need for an external shock mount while ensuring mechanical isolation.
