Built around a remote-cutoff tube topology, the Venos offers intuitive workflow through stepped and detented controls, allowing precise recall and rapid comparison of settings. Five compression modes - Linear, Modern, Vintage, Focus, and Punch - dramatically reshape the compressor’s behavior, from subtle vintage sweetness to aggressive, energy-packed hyper-compression unique to the Venos. With flexible attack/release timing, multiple rectifier types, selectable high-pass sidechain filtering, insertable external sidechain, AirBass/Tape shaping filters, and a large VU meter, the Venos stands as one of the most versatile and musical stereo compressors ever created. All inputs and outputs use gold-plated Neutrik XLRs, and the entire unit is hand-built in Germany with SPL's premium through-hole components and rugged metal chassis.
