The Soyuz Microphones 013 FET-M Microphones features a proprietary toroidal transformer and extremely low harmonic distortion, providing a rich and beautiful sound that is perfect for even the most delicate and dynamic sound sources.

The Soyuz Microphones S013 Microphone features the same capsule as their SU-011 tube microphone but with a FET pre-amp. With more than a year of research and development, Soyuz worked very hard to develop their own proprietary transformer, which gives the SU-013 a rich and beautiful sound. As with all their microphones, the 013 is 100% handmade in the Soyuz facility in Russia.

The Soyuz Microphones 013's classic internal transformer design creates a detailed sound that is robust in the lower frequencies, rich in the midrange, and silky smooth in the upper register.

    Best SDC’s on the market
    Lyle Sewall

I love these mics. I have used and compared Telefunken M60 FET, AT4051, Neumann KM84, modded Oktava MK-12, and these are my favorite above all of those. The slightly larger capsule diameter makes these sound much warmer and more round yet they still have a nice smooth high frequency response.

    Great on fingerstyle acoustic

In addition to the above-and-beyond customer service from FEA, this pair of mics proved to really meet my needs for fingerstyle guitar, you can hear them in use on a solo guitar song of mine (the 2nd mic is out of the shot - I used "over-the-shoulder" technique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EMhzVbZyUc

What We Think

he Soyuz 013 FET-M microphones strike a really special balance between vintage character and modern fidelity. While using them in the studio, what immediately stands out is the sense of fullness they bring — very reminiscent of classic, well-loved small-diaphragm condensers — but with a level of detail and clarity that feels unmistakably modern. That combination is hard to pull off, and Soyuz absolutely nailed it here. These mics have become go-to choices for us on acoustic guitars and drum overheads, where that smooth, wide-range response and robust low-mid presence really shine. Stereo miking is where they truly come alive, which is why having them as a matched pair just makes sense. They deliver a hi-fidelity sound that’s open and detailed, yet never clinical, with a musical warmth that keeps things feeling natural and finished. If you’re looking for a pair of SDCs that bring vintage vibe without sacrificing modern performance, the 013 FET-Ms are an easy recommendation — they’re the kind of mics you put up once and keep reaching for.
