The Soyuz Microphones 013 FET Microphone features a proprietary toroidal transformer and extremely low harmonic distortion, providing a rich and beautiful sound that is perfect for even the most delicate and dynamic sound sources. This sleek black version is ideal in the studio or on stage!

The Soyuz Microphones 013 Microphone is baed on the same capsule as the Soyuz Microphones SU-011 tube microphone but features a different FET preamp. With over a year year of research and development, the folks at Soyuz have worked very hard to develop their own transformer, which gives the SU-013 a rich and beautiful sound. As with all their microphones, the 013 is 100% handmade in the Soyuz facility in Russia. The Soyuz Microphones 013's classic internal transformer design creates a detailed sound that is robust in the lower frequencies, rich in the midrange, and silky smooth in the upper register.

    Great alternative to the usual suspects!

    Having owned some of the more popular SDC in the past, (KM184, Beyerdynamic 930s and the Shure SM81), I was hoping the Soyuz could deliver something the other mics did not. The 013 exceeded my expectations. The build quality, fit and finish are top notch- right down to the solid wood carrying case, and cards signed and dated by the actual techs involved in the manufacture. This mic is transformer based, and delivers a very detailed but colorful sound. In direct comparison to the KM184, my friend and I agreed it had a sweeter sound- less hard in the upper mids. The highs are present but not hyped. Super happy with this purchase!
