    One of the best distortion pedals ever created! Amazing value for the money and very versatile. Can create light overdrive to distortion to full on fuzz. Pairs really well with all vox amps.

The Pro Co RAT2 is one of those pedals that earns its place on the board and never gives it back. While using it in the studio, it’s been a constant on rhythm guitar tracks for years, and for good reason. This thing is wildly versatile. It can act as a simple tone-shaping filter in front of an amp, a gritty boost or overdrive, or go full-on distortion without falling apart. Where the RAT2 really shines is in heavier styles. Grindcore, doom, groove, punk, thrash — this pedal just gets it. The tone is thick and rich, but it never loses intelligibility, even when things get aggressive. That balance is what makes it so special. And despite its reputation for filth (earned, by the way), it’s just as happy living in blues and fusion territory when dialed back. This is one of those pedals that doesn’t need hype — it’s already proven itself over decades of records and stages.
