Pro Co RAT2 Distortion Pedal
The Pro Co RAT2 Distortion Pedal has all the core features of the classic RAT, most importantly the tone. But, the RAT2 takes that classic RAT tone and pushes it harder. The wide varying degrees of distortion, and the wide sweeping filter makes this the distortion pedal that can do it all.
The Pro Co RAT2 Distortion Pedal's beauty lies in its versatility. Used as a primary distortion, it excels at arena rock rhythm tones and soaring leads. Do you have a powerful amp with too much headroom for the gig? The RAT 2 nails that sweet spot where a tube amp goes from sparkly clean to warm overdrive. Maybe you already love your amp's distortion. Use the RAT 2 as a boost for solos and get the extra kick you need. This is the classic RAT tone. The standard that all other distortion devices are measured against. Heard on thousands of recordings, it has helped define the sound of the past three decade's most influential bands.
The Pro Co RAT2 Distortion Pedal will be your go-to distortion pedal for every gig, whether it’s rock, blues, punk, or jazz. What We Think
I am proud to own the Pro Co RAT2. I have loved this pedal for many years, and it is on virtually every rhythm guitar track I record. This can do everything from being a simple filter in front of your amp, to being a boost/over drive stomp, to full out distortion. This is hands down my favorite distortion for Grindcore, Doom, and Groove. It is thick, rich, and intelligible. Get one and hear it for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Whether you are a looking for that gnarly vintage tone, or a Punk Rock grit, or a Metal thrash (heck it even smokes on Blues and Fusion), this is a pedal that should be in your arsenal.
