The MK-012-01 MSP2 gives you a stereo pair of the Oktava MK-012-01 microphones in one convenient package. The MSP2 is what we at Front End Audio would consider a top pick for your stereo recording applications. Hand made in Tula Russia, the MK-012-01 is designed with solid electronics and modular parts, giving you the ability to configure your MSP2 to your unique recording application. This stealthy black version fades into the background on stage, on camera and in the studio.

These small diaphragm microphones are compact, high quality, and feature cardioid capsules. The Oktava MK-012-01 MSP2 Microphone Set is a factory matched pair of microphones that offer a natural smooth and musically balanced character with great off-axis rejection, ideal for your stereo overhead, acoustic guitar, and piano recordings. The small size of the microphones provide easy positioning, even in tight spaces. Designed to be modular, you can easily swap out the capsules and pads, making these mics a versatile powerhouse in the recording studio. The included -10 dB pads are ideal for high SPL environments, making the MSP2 perfect for stereo recording applications. Optional Omni and HyperCardioid capsules are available separately or included in the MSP4 and MSP6 Microphone Sets.  Whatever you configuration may be, Front End Audio is here to help you build your Oktava microphone system.

    These are an excellent choice for drum overheads...they capture the entire kit well and do not sound harsh the way some other options do.
