The MOTU OctaLite USB Audio Interface delivers professional sound quality, flexible connectivity, and powerful onboard mixing in a compact design that's ready for just about anything.

Whether you're recording a full drum kit, tracking a band, producing music, or expanding an existing studio setup, the OctaLite gives you eight high-performance microphone preamps, pristine 24-bit/192 kHz audio, and the flexibility to work exactly how you want. With ESS Sabre32 Ultra converter technology, onboard DSP processing, and the ability to operate as either a USB audio interface or standalone optical expander, the OctaLite packs serious recording power into a remarkably versatile package. At the heart of the MOTU OctaLite are eight combination XLR/TRS microphone, line, and Hi-Z instrument inputs featuring premium Burr-Brown op-amps. Each preamp delivers up to 74 dB of gain with an exceptionally low -129 dBu equivalent input noise (EIN), providing clean, detailed recordings across a wide range of microphones and instruments. Individual phantom power control makes it easy to accommodate condenser microphones, while the ESS Sabre32 Ultra DAC technology delivers an impressive 125 dB dynamic range on the balanced outputs. Combined with MOTU's proven low-latency USB drivers, the OctaLite provides the clarity and responsiveness needed for demanding recording sessions. The OctaLite also features a powerful onboard DSP mixer with reverb, four-band parametric EQ, compression, and gating, allowing you to create customized monitoring mixes without relying on your computer's processing power. MOTU's CueMix 5 software provides comprehensive control over routing, mixing, and hardware settings from your computer or compatible iOS device. When connected to a networked computer, multiple mobile devices can even control mixes wirelessly. For studios looking to grow, the OctaLite's optical expander mode allows you to add eight microphone, line, or instrument inputs to an existing MOTU UltraLite-mk5 or another compatible audio interface over a single optical cable. Standalone mixer operation, USB loopback for streaming and podcasting, and DC-coupled outputs for modular synthesizer control make the OctaLite an excellent choice for recording studios, mobile production rigs, electronic musicians, and live performance applications.
