Great Firewire interface with plenty of features
    Jesse

This is a great interface for someone who doesn't have a ton of money to spend. Considering how expandable it is to have up to 16 inputs, this is the perfect platform to build a studio from. It has 96k/24 bit capabilities and the VRM is an amazing feature that will make you reconsider the way you view mixing with headphones. I use it all the time and my mixes have improved drastically because of the number of different speakers you have to reference. The preamps are pretty transparent and don't really add or take away from the sound, which would be the only real drawback to this device.

    Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP
    MR DEAN M WHEATLEY

Bought the Saffire Pro 24 DSP following a bad experience with the ART Dual USB Pre. I am really enjoying the DSP features especially the Virtual Room Modeling. This feature lets you select one of three rooms and in each room up to 8 different speakers can be chosen. So for those mixing on headphones it really helps you create a better mix. The Focusrite includes a very powerful mixer including separate mixes for the two headphone outputs which is great for tracking where each performer wants their instrument to be the loudest in their monitor mix. The two headphone outs are really handy. Another great feature is that you can use the 2 mic pres and the 2 line inputs at the same time. When I purchased it I thought it was only 2 analog inputs simultaneously but the device lets you record 4 analog channels simultaneously. The pre amps are pretty dry but they have a low noise floor and are good if you want a transparent sound. Its a feature packed product. I highly recommend it.
