Built around a Class-A analog signal path, this four-band stereo equalizer combines broad tonal shaping, precise parametric control, resonant filtering, and elysia's distinctive Passive Massage circuit in an intuitive 1U rackmount design. Whether you are tightening up a low end, bringing a vocal forward, polishing a mix bus, or adding a little extra air to a finished track, the xfilter gives you powerful analog control without smearing transients or clouding the original character of the source. Designed as a true stereo equalizer, the xfilter allows both channels to be controlled together rather than requiring separate left and right adjustments. elysia achieves accurate stereo tracking through carefully selected dual- and quad-layer potentiometers and low-tolerance capacitors, helping EQ changes remain consistent across the stereo image. The four active bands include low and high shelving filters along with two fully parametric midrange bands, giving engineers a straightforward but highly versatile set of tools for shaping frequency balance. The outer bands offer additional flexibility by allowing the low and high shelves to be independently switched into 12 dB-per-octave low-cut and high-cut filters with resonance at the corner frequency. This makes it possible to clean up unwanted extremes while retaining punch and definition near the cutoff point. The two parametric mid bands provide switchable Wide Q 0.5 and Narrow Q 1.0 characteristics, allowing you to move easily between broad musical adjustments and more focused tonal shaping. For an additional high-frequency flavor, the xfilter includes elysia's Passive Massage circuit. This switchable passive LC filter introduces a gentle resonance around 12 kHz before beginning to roll off at 17 kHz, providing a smooth way to add openness and polish without simply boosting the entire high-frequency spectrum. Combined with 41-step controls, hardwire bypass, wide bandwidth, and a clean Class-A architecture, the elysia xfilter Equalizer offers an exceptionally useful analog EQ for recording, mixing, and mastering studios.
