The Audio Ease Altiverb 7 Reverb Plug-In is the industry standard convolution reverb plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows. Altiverb 7 uses top quality samples of real spaces to create reverb, ranging from Sydney Opera House to the cockpit of a Jumbo Jet.
Altiverb's concert halls and recording studio spaces are geared towards music production, but also its plate reverbs and digital reverb gear. But there is more for music: algorithmic brightness, modulation, stage positioning, and tempo locked gated and reverse reverbs. And you can make fantastic textures by using any sound as an impulse response. The results of hundreds of these travels are included with Altiverb 7. From London's Wembley stadium to the ancient caves of the island of Malta, and the churches, concert halls and rock studios of the cities of Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and New York. Features geared towards audio for picture are: total recall (automation without snapshots), drag and drop impulse response making, making of impulse responses using portable radio or even slates (clapperboards), Altiverb's extensive channel setup flexibility and the keyword-search feature (just type 'bed room' or 'SUV').
The Impulse Response library is now more accessible then ever because of Altiverb's new visual browser. Select impulse responses by clicking photos of rooms. Instant gapless loading, organise-by-size, and single click favorites are just a few of its features. The Impulse Response Browser contains a keyword search field, single click downloading and installing of new (free) impulse responses. Altiverb 7 is a native stereo in / stereo out AAX Native/RTAS/VST/AU/MAS plug-in that goes up to 96 kHz sampling rate. An iLok 2 usb key is required.
Audio Ease Altiverb 7 Reverb Plug-In Specifications
- Altiverb 7.1 for Pro Tools is a 32 and 64 bit AAX Native plug-in. It will replace RTAS and TDM in your existing sessions, sounding identical.
- Altiverb 7.1 AAX can be co-installed with the previous version 7, Altiverb 7.0.5, which is a 32 bit RTAS and TDM plug-in. The Altiverb 7.0.5 is a separate download and runs in all versions of Pro Tools 8, 9 and 10.

Great Plug-In Convo Reverb
Feb 5th 2013There are a lot of pretty bad reverb plugs out there. This one isn't one of them. As far as I can tell Altiverb is the industry standard convolution reverb. Great sounding halls and some cool parameters to sculpt the exact tail you're looking for.

Oct 3rd 2012Great product. New version has lots of nice features including a gui with source placement and stereo spread within the selected space, represented by a pair of movable speakers. Great selection of rooms and fully tweak-able. There's also new options for creating your own Impulse responses including a virtual radio speaker you can use in processing the responses you've made. Invaluable if you do remote recordings and need to overdub back at the studio, since you can place the overdub back in the same room as the remote Still the best of all the IR Reverbs available. DS
