Hear Technologies Hear Back Mixer

The Hear Back Mixer is your personal control surface that allows you to create YOUR OWN monitor mix - live!

The Hear Back Mixer is your personal control surface that allows you to create YOUR OWN monitor mix - live! The Mixer features 10-channel control, 8 incoming signals and your own monitor volume. You also have control over the built-in DSP Limiter (designed as a "brick wall" limiter for hearing protection and to protect monitor wedges from overload). Also, for convenient on-stage or in the studio use, the Mixer offers a built-in standard threaded mic stand mount! Each Mixer is connected to the Hub via affordable and easily available Cat5 cables. Total control of your own mix - that's the Hear Back system.

Mounting the Mixer

The Hear Back Mixer is equipped to mount to any standard mic or desk stand using the built-in 5/8" threaded socket located on the back of the mixer.

The Mic Stand Adapter (Order Number: MSA) is perfect for mounting the Hear Back Mixer to the side of any mic stand. This clamp-on adjustable width bracket will attach to a standard music stand as well. The perfect companion to the Hear Back Mixer (HBM) and the Mix Back Talk Back Remote Control (MBR).

Hear Technologies Hear Back Mixer Options

You can choose to include the Option 8 modification with your Hear Back Mixer. The Hear Technologies Option 8 removes the limiter circuit inside the Hear Technologies Hear Back Mixer and divides the "Stereo 1-2" mix into two separate channels. This effectively gives the user eight individual mono audio channels. During the modification, the lower left "Stereo 1-2" volume knob is relabeled "1" and the lower right "Limiter" knob is relabeled "2." In the event that you need stereo, you can still link channels 3 and 4, 5 and 6, or 7 and 8 as stereo pairs.

This is the perfect solution for those who do not use the limiter circuit and would prefer to have eight individual channels. This modification is available through Front End Audio for NEW Hear Back Mixers . Please ask us about "Option 8"

CAUTION: This modification removes the limiter circuit, therefore no hearing protection is provided for your ears against high volume levels. If you choose this option, the user must carefully monitor overall volume.

What We Think - Hear Technologies Hear Back Mixer Review

"It's funny... the gear focus of someone looking to better their recordings typically is on the capturing portion of the system - it almost never has anything to do with inspiring great performances from the musicians! Seriously, if the musicians can't hear things well enough to get their groove together, then there's no sexy microphone or preamp in the world that can turn an uninspired performance into magic (though when the music is happening, the great mics and preamps and converters had better be in place!). So, it's for this reason that we here at Front End Audio really want for you to know about HEAR TECHNOLOGIES and what their HearBack and MixBack systems can do for you, your studio, and the musicians you work with.

"With the HearBack system in place, you can really get down to getting to work quickly. The HearBack Hub is going to be at the heart of this system. It's what you feed the signals into that you distribute out to your HearBack Mixers. Feed your signals in 8 at a time via analog (DB25) or digitally (ADAT Optical), connect up the Mixers via CAT5 cables and you're pretty much done. I mean, you'll have to route what you want to go to the mixers, to the Hub and all. But, that's pretty simple! Your artists have their headphones plugged into the Mixer and they can make their own mix very easily - though we suggest making a starting point mix with levels marked as an easy reference for them to get back to. But if they need a little more of themselves or of another instrument, then they don't have to ask you to be doing it for them while you've got something else in the works.

"The best part about the HEAR TECHNOLOGIES stuff is A) It's Affordable - Compare what's on the market and you'll agree, B) It sounds great!, and C) HEAR's service is really second to none - Chances are you won't need them, but if you do, these guys will flat out get you taken care of!

"Give us a call to get your studio working like it should."

While many times you expect to get something less when you pay less not so. These were all packaged individually not some kind of bulk. They are new not refurb. which is something you sometimes get when you get a better price. Good Going!
