The Universal Audio Volt 2 Gen 2 USB Audio Interface puts polished studio sound, intelligent level control, and flexible two-channel recording into a compact interface built for musicians, producers, podcasters, and content creators.
With professional 32-bit / 192 kHz conversion, two Tone Shaping Preamps, a full-color Smart Display, Auto-Gain, and Clip Protection, Volt 2 Gen 2 makes it easy to capture vocals and instruments with confidence without getting bogged down in setup. Three selectable preamp characters let you add Warmth, Focus, or Shine at the recording stage, while USB bus power makes the Volt 2 Gen 2 equally comfortable in a desktop studio or a mobile recording rig. Each of the Volt 2 Gen 2's two channels handles microphone, line-level, or Hi-Z instrument sources, giving you the flexibility to record two microphones, a vocal and guitar, a stereo keyboard, or other two-channel sources simultaneously. The digitally controlled preamps provide 60 dB of available gain, while independently switchable 48V phantom power supports condenser microphones on either channel. Its full-color Smart Display provides clear visual feedback for inputs, levels, and settings, and Auto-Gain quickly establishes an appropriate recording level while Clip Protection helps manage unexpected peaks before they spoil a take. Volt 2 Gen 2 is also designed to fit easily into modern computer and mobile production workflows. It is USB bus-powered and class-compliant for use with Mac, Windows, iPad, and iPhone, with built-in loopback for combining live inputs with computer audio during podcasts, livestreams, and other content creation. Integration with the UAD Console app and LUNA adds session recall and low-latency cue mixing, while the included UAD Volt Studio Bundle supplies a substantial collection of UAD processors, instruments, guitar amps, and the LUNA Digital Audio Workstation so you can keep working from tracking through the final mix.
