    slightly outdated but quality product

    Pro: UA is one of the few companies who does circuit level modeling for their plugins. Long story short, if you want a digital emulation of a classic analog EQ/compressor/etc., they are as close as it gets. The metal chassis is high quality and visually appealing. Con: The concept of an external DSP unit being connected to your computer is getting a bit outdated. In fact, while initially UA's plugins relied on this type of outboard unit, recently they have started offering native plugins. The other con to keep in mind is the power cable. They use a proprietary 4 pin connector so losing it would cause headaches.

    Amazing product. Easiest installation of any pro audio gear I have ever used. The guys at Front End are the best people I have had the pleasure of dealing with over my last 30 years of buying gear. Overall a 10/10 experience.
