The Sennheiser MK 4 Microphone w/ Shockmount bundle comes with a large-diaphragm true condenser MK 4 Mic with a quality MKS 4 Shockmount for professional studio recordings. Featuring fine resolution and outstanding sound quality, the Sennheiser MK 4 is easy to handle and excellent value for money, making it an ideal choice for professional project studios and home recordists. It features a 1 inch true condenser capsule based on the acoustics of the e 965 high-end vocal mic, optimized for recording. The Sennheiser MK 4 is made in Germany, its transducer being manufactured in the same clean room as all high-end Sennheiser condenser capsules.

The Sennheiser MKS 4 Shockmount is specifically built to hold a Sennheiser MK 4 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone. It has an elastic suspension with an open ring which allows the mic to be positioned close to the sound source. This durable shockmount offers good protection against unwanted noises caused by motion/vibrations.

The Sennheiser MK 4 is one of those microphones that quietly overdelivers. The top end is smooth and slightly relaxed, but there’s still plenty of detail where it counts. What really makes this mic special, though, is the forward magic in the mids and low mids—it gives sources a sense of size and dimension without ever sounding bloated. Everything sits on a full, round bottom end that just feels right. While in the studio, we’ve had great results using the MK 4 on drum room and overheads, percussion in general, acoustic guitars, strings, and even brass and woodwinds. It captures detail without getting sharp, and it has a natural musicality that makes tracks feel finished faster. And when it comes to vocals, this mic really shines. No matter the style, it gives vocals a robust, confident sound that sits beautifully in a mix without needing much help. The included shockmount in this bundle is the cherry on top—it keeps handling noise and vibrations in check, so you’re hearing the mic at its best. All things considered, the MK 4 punches well above its price point and has no problem hanging with microphones that cost a lot more. It’s a versatile, reliable condenser that earns its spot in just about any mic locker.
