What We Think - Sennheiser MK 4 Review
The Sennheiser MK4 is a very cool mic. It has a smooth and somewhat soft top end, but with solid detail. There is a forward magic in the mids and low mids that really allow the sound source to inflate a bit in dimension, and it is all supported by a full round bottom end. I have really enjoyed this mic on drum room and overheads (percussion in general), as well as acoustic guitar/instruments, strings, and brass and woodwind. It is also a stellar vocal mic. It really doesnâ??t matter the style of music, this mic simply does a great job at giving a robust full sound to a vocal. The MK4 is well able of holding its own against higher priced mics.
