The Sennheiser e602 II Dynamic Microphone is a cardioid instrument mic especially suitable for use with bass drums, bass guitar cabs, tubas and other low frequency instruments. Solid, lightweight, and easy to position, the e602 II is ideal for direct use on the most problematic bass signal.

The Sennheiser e602 II Dynamic Microphone follows bass instruments down to the low frequencies that shake things up. The punch of the kick drum keeps its forceful volume at the bottom of the sound image; the attack remains precise throughout the mic’s entire frequency response. The e602 II hears bass guitars and tubas with the same attention to detail: warm, dynamic, and always with substance. It sounds as solid as it looks and, thanks to its lightweight aluminum body, is easy to position – in studios, clubs, rehearsal rooms, at smaller gigs or for home recording.

    It’s a great kick mic

    I am using this as a kick in mic for a 22” bass drum without a resonator head. This thing gives me plenty of low end without catching a lot of the higher end info from the beater, giving me a good foundation for a kick tone (I blend this one with an M88 — that has the low end as well as high end — kick out mic). It gets the job done for me!
