The Peluso TR14 Tube Ribbon Microphone brings classic long-ribbon warmth into the modern studio with the added confidence of an active tube gain stage. Inspired by the early RCA ribbon microphones, the Peluso TR14 uses a thin corrugated aluminum ribbon tensioned between rare earth neodymium magnets. Its figure-8 pattern, generous low end, and silky top end make it a beautiful choice for electric guitars, horns, strings, vocals, percussion, room sounds, and any source that benefits from a more rounded, dimensional presentation. Unlike passive ribbon microphones, the TR14 incorporates a glass tube amplifier stage and custom output transformer for a clean balanced output with added harmonic complexity.
