The JZ Microphones V11 Microphone provides the creamy dark sound of a vintage ribbon microphone with the detail of a large diaphragm condenser, making it a unique tonal mic for adding a richness to any brighter or harsh sound sources.

The number 11 stands for 2011 as reference year when a new classic microphone has been created. Vintage 11 is dedicated for everyone who loves recording in the highest quality possible and wants something better than all known studio standards. The Vintage 11 even has a budget-friendly price. With the open detailed presences of JZ's Golden Drop Capsule Technology, and the dark ribbon like character of the mic, the V11 is great on bright sound sources, like acoustic guitars, drum overheads, stringed instruments, and bright or harsh vocals.

The JZ Microphones V11 is one of those microphones that makes you stop and go, “Oh… that’s different,” in the best possible way. While using it in the studio, we loved how it blends the detail and sensitivity you expect from a condenser with a thick, creamy character that leans surprisingly close to a ribbon mic. It’s a really unique combination that immediately sets it apart from the usual condenser crowd. That darker, smoother voicing makes the V11 a fantastic choice when you’re dealing with bright or aggressive sources. On vocals, it does a great job of keeping things controlled without losing emotion, and once we put it on guitar cabinets and snare drums, it really started to shine. It smooths out harsh edges while still delivering punch and clarity where it counts. The V11 isn’t trying to be an everything-for-everyone mic — it has a personality, and it owns it. If you’re looking to add something genuinely different to your mic locker, this one absolutely earns its spot.
