The Heritage Audio Mix Buddy Instrument Mixer is a purpose-built desktop mixer designed specifically for today's electronic musicians, keyboard players, producers, and performers who demand exceptional sound quality from every instrument in their setup.

Unlike conventional compact mixers built around generic microphone and line inputs, the Mix Buddy is engineered from the ground up for instrument-level sources, delivering premium JFET circuitry, transformer-balanced output options, and an incredibly flexible routing architecture that elevates both studio production and live performance. Whether you're mixing vintage synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, guitars, basses, keyboards, or vocals, the Mix Buddy brings them together with outstanding clarity, warmth, and musicality. At the heart of the Mix Buddy is an innovative 19-input architecture featuring multiple input types optimized for different sources. Four stereo Hi Gain channels utilize premium Toshiba 2SK JFET buffers with 12 dB of gain to add subtle harmonic richness and life to passive instruments and vintage gear, while three stereo Unity channels preserve the pristine detail of hotter modern instruments with transparent unity-gain buffering. A dedicated ultra-low-noise microphone preamp provides up to 70 dB of gain for vocals and acoustic sources, while balanced stereo line inputs accommodate interfaces, computers, and additional line-level equipment. Every instrument channel can operate in stereo or Mono + Thru mode, allowing performers to simultaneously feed amplifiers, processors, or front-of-house systems while maintaining a complete mix within the Mix Buddy. The Mix Buddy goes far beyond traditional desktop mixing with a stereo hardware effects loop that supports both mono and stereo processors, per-channel AUX sends, selectable pre/post-fader routing, and instant global FX bypass. Its dual balanced master outputs provide two distinct sonic personalities: Heritage Audio's transformer-balanced Class A 73 DI output delivers classic analog weight and character with selectable line or microphone output levels, while the second transformerless output offers pristine transparency for monitoring or recording. Add in a powerful independent headphone amplifier, rugged desktop construction, and intuitive controls, and the Mix Buddy becomes a complete creative command center for modern studios, live rigs, hybrid performance setups, and immersive hardware-based music production.
