This deserves way more talk!
May 27th 2023I've owned a Knock off 1073 style preamp before from Alctron. And it was just not great. At all. Especially compared to this absolute UNIT of gear. THIS IS AMAZING. I have plugged in my sm7b and Lewitt audio 440 Pure so far to do some recording, and what it does to these mics just makes them SHINE. The Air EQ on it is super well done and adds such a nice shimmer. I am now able to just record straight into the daw, add eq from a pulteq style eq, and not emulate a warm saturated tone. This is much cleaner. And I love it. Its sweet spot is around 50 on the input, at least for me. I feel like I've wasted my time recording before having this. Wish I got this sooner in time. Highly recommend.
