The Ddrum Red Shot Kick Trigger is specifically designed for use with kick drums (of all sizes), with easy set up and connectivity. The Ddrum Red Shot Triggers are the most cost effective alternative in the Ddrum drum trigger line. They come in two different models: Snare/Tom Trigger and Kick Drum Trigger. They are mounted onto the hoop with one of the standard tension rods, and feature the same type of sensor as the drum Acoustic Pro Trigger but has a stripped-down mechanical construction. The drum Red Shot Trigger features a 1/4" jack for connection that is compatible with most sound modules.

The Red Shot Triggers are available individually, and in a 5 Piece Kit, consisting of 1 Red Shot Kick and 4 Red Shot Snare/Tom Triggers.

The Ddrum Red Shot Kick Drum Trigger has been a staple in our studio for years, and it’s earned that spot without question. While working on sessions over time, these triggers have proven to be incredibly reliable whether we’re running them into a hardware sound module or simply capturing MIDI to trigger virtual drum libraries later on. They just work — consistently and predictably — which is exactly what you want from a trigger. For metal and other fast, aggressive styles, the Red Shot is pretty much a must-have. Tight double kicks, fast passages, extreme tempos — no problem. But what surprised us early on was how useful it is outside of those genres. We’ve leaned on it plenty of times for snare replacement in softer or more traditional sessions where the performance was great, but the drum itself just wasn’t. Instead of renting or buying another snare, the Red Shot saved the day. The dynamic response is solid, and with proper setup on your module or interface, ghost notes and articulation come through naturally without feeling robotic. If you’re looking for a cost-effective, dependable way to get into drum triggering — whether for studio work, live use, or both — the Ddrum Red Shot is hard to beat. It’s a simple tool that solves real problems and keeps sessions moving.
