Designed for professional recording studios and serious guitar enthusiasts, this innovative guitar amp switching system lets you connect up to eight amplifiers and four speaker cabinets, then instantly select the combination that delivers the perfect tone. Whether you're comparing vintage tube amps, experimenting with speaker cabinets, or dialing in the ideal guitar sound for a recording session, the Headline keeps your creative momentum flowing while protecting your valuable equipment. The DACS Headline Guitar Switcher consists of two separate 1U rackmount units that work together to provide convenient remote control and reliable signal routing. The Selector unit can be positioned in the control room, putting amplifier and speaker selection right at your fingertips, while the Relay Switcher sits near your amplifiers to handle the actual signal connections. The two units communicate through a standard CAT5 or CAT6 cable with RJ45 connectors, simplifying installation and cable management. The Selector features illuminated buttons for choosing amplifiers and speaker cabinets, with clear visual feedback indicating available connections. You can route any selected amplifier to one speaker cabinet or two cabinets simultaneously, making it easy to compare different setups and discover new tonal possibilities. Beyond convenience, the DACS Headline is engineered to maintain signal integrity and safeguard your amplifiers. Its digitally controlled relay switching system isolates amplifier signal paths, while unselected amplifier inputs are shorted to prevent unwanted noise and interference. Unselected amplifier outputs are automatically connected to dummy loads, helping protect sensitive tube amplifier output stages. The system also continuously monitors speaker connections, preventing selection of disconnected or improperly connected cabinets. During switching, the guitar signal is temporarily muted while the system safely reconfigures the signal path. Magnetic labeling strips make it easy to identify connected amplifiers and cabinets, even as your studio setup evolves.
