The Heritage Audio Herchild 660 & Herchild 670 Tube Compressors Have Arrived!

After decades of being so rare, hard to come by, nearly impossible to acquire and considered mystical by any audio professional, most people just assumed they'll never be able to use these legends, but don´t worry, the Herchild 660 and Herchild 670 are finally here and accessible to everyone. The stereo Herchild 670 tube compressor comes packed with 22 tubes and 9 transformers, and 11 valves and 5 transformers in its equally monstrous mono brother. With all that analog warmth, it's time to turn up the heat and get cooking up some new tracks!

The Heritage Herchild 660 is a very cool box. Like with anything that features tubes in it's path, the longer it is on and the warmer the tubes get, the more mojo you get. But the 660 is not just about mojo, it is about flexibility. It can be subtle to outright crushing transients out of the picture. It can be tight and punchy, to open and floating. It gives you a warm and vintage analog vibe while tailoring its behavior to what you need from it. Whether it is clean electric guitars, bass guitars, mono drum room, kick, snare, or vocals - this box handles it all beautifully with a unique tone that hearkens from yesteryear. Heritage did something special here.

The Heritage Audio Herchild 670 is, for me, an instant icon. It has so much magic to it, it is instantly inspiring. Whether tracking, mixing, or mastering, the 670 handles it with authority. Like its little brother (the Herchild 660) it has mojo, and can be subtle to outright crushing transients out of the picture. It can be tight and punchy, to open and floating. It gives you a warm and vintage analog vibe while tailoring its behavior to what you need from it. But what makes the 670 so much more powerful is all the mode features. Independent mode give you two independent compressors in one box. Stereo Link gives you a perfect bus comp. Lat/Vert (Mid/Side) gives you a whole new bus comp and a mastering comp. Lat/Vert Link gives you a new approach to mid/side. Drum bus (straight up or in parallel processing), mix/master bus, independent mono sources in tracking or mixing, what this comp does is everything, with rich yesteryear analog vibe.
