New from Universal Audio: VOLT 4 and VOLT 476P Audio Interfaces

Universal Audio has just announced the new Volt 4 Audio Interface and the Volt 476P Audio Interface! These are compact and affordable USB audio interfaces for Mac, PC, iPad, and iPhone! The preamps on these interfaces feature a "Vintage" button, that allows you to get an emulation of the famous Universal Audio Solo/610 Tube Preamp!

With both the Volt 4 and Volt 476P, you have four inputs. For outputs, you have a pair of monitor outputs and an extra four line outputs! This is great for engineers that are looking to incorporate some outboard gear into their setup! They're both also capable of direct monitoring for latency free recording!

Some differences between the Volt 4 and Volt 476P:

  • The four inputs on the VOLT 476P are combo jacks and can be used for microphones, instruments, or as line inputs! Four microphone preamps means you have enough to record a drum kit!
  • The Volt 476P also has a compressor built in! The compressor is based on the classic 1176 compressor and you have three selectable presets: Voc, Gtr, and Fast. The compressor can be turned on fpr each channel with the press of a button and the presets can be changed in real time while recording.
  • The Volt 476P gives you two headphone outputs with independent volume control for each.
  • The Volt 476P Features a "Mono" button that allows you to monitor your mix in mono

The Volt 4 and Volt 476P are great additions to the Universal Audio Volt line of interfaces. If you have any questions about these new interfaces or any of Universal Audio's other products, give us a call and we'll be happy to assist!
