Lewitt microphones has announced their new LCT 1040 that sets out to be a tonally flexible audio shaping tool. Lewitt states: "The LCT 1040 microphone system gives you the power to create the sound you envision using 4 all-analog tube characteristics and a crystal-clear FET circuit. The detachable remote control allows you to make all settings from your sweet spot."

The tonal range of the mic includes:

  • Clear – Tube works at technical optimum
  • Warm – Smooth and pleasant high-end
  • Dark – Tamed highs for bright sources
  • Saturated – Rich harmonics and subtle compression

The LCT 1040 features a true 1" condenser capsule, all analog tube tone, blendable FET circuit (for low noise and added punch - available via the second XLR output), a remote control to dial in the sweet spot of tone you want, multiple polar patterns, and a unique look. The LCT 1040 is set to launch in April. Further features include:

  • Premium Tube and FET microphone in one
  • Gold-sputtered 1-inch true condenser capsule
  • 4 all-analog tube characteristics — Clear, Warm, Dark, Saturated
