Introducing the brand new Soyuz 1973 Deluxe Microphones

Introducing the New Soyuz 1973 Deluxe Microphones! Soyuz has just announced their newest microphone, the Soyuz Microphones 1973 Deluxe Microphone! Soyuz's recent mic, the 1973, became very popular after its release and was front and center at the recent NAMM show. It received a lot of attention and buzz and after listening to feedback from customers Soyuz decided to give the mic the “deluxe” treatment now with the release of the Soyuz 1973 Deluxe Microphone. This new package includes Soyuz's much-requested after-market upgrades all in one package while still retailing under $1k - making it the perfect choice for any musician and engineer looking for a lifelong workhorse mic in the studio or on stage.

Soyuz Microphones 1973 Deluxe

The Soyuz 1973 Deluxe is a modern microphone with vintage vibes that brings together the best of the first generation of FET mics with modern machining and design advancements. This Deluxe edition features a streamlined body and the same S23 capsule as the 023 Bomblet along with a handmade oak suitcase, a custom hand-machined shock mount and a custom hard mount.

Soyuz Microphones 1973 Deluxe

Key Features:

  • Features a version of the original S23 Capsule found in The 023 Bomblet microphone
  • Completely hand-machined body and hand-machined capsule
  • Includes a custom machined and built-in resonator to reduce unwanted resonance and minimize plosives
  • Includes a switchable -10dB and -20dB pad on the bottom of the microphone
  • Transformerless design
  • Available in a polished silver finish and a matte black finish
  • Deluxe Edition Including Additional Accessories: custom made oak suitcase (made in house), custom hand machined shockmount, and a custom hard-mount.

Like the original version, the Soyuz Microphones 1973 Deluxe Microphone was developed and built in the old fashioned way: in-house with maximum attention to detail and no corners cut. The 1973 features a transformerless design and has the lowest self-noise of any of our microphones. Nonetheless, it retains what many people call "the Soyuz Sound," with lows that are present but not boomy, a midrange that’s forward but not boxy, and a high end that’s open and airy without being harsh.
