The ADK Berlin 47 T-FET Microphone is an electric sounding mic. There is a nice energy in the upper mids that brings to life brass and woodwind instruments, as well as steel stringed acoustics, cymbals, and works very well with Tenor vocalists.
The ADK Berlin 47 T-FET Microphone is part of ADK's Custom Shop FET microphones, based on a unique FET circuit that saturates gradually (unlike most condenser microphones which tend to clip abruptly). The key to the tonality is it's Belgian-American-Australian-Designed Capsule, British Oxford Transformers, Hi-End Phillips Norelco Uber-FET. Manufactured with Hi-Fi Methods and Materials - which includes a $6 Resistor! It took three microphone experts including a PhD in Physics, a Design Genius in Belgium and a 40 year-old Mic Locker to create it! Two-Way Attenuation Pads & Two Way HP Filter to enable end-user to tailor the dynamic behavior of the microphone and create new textures, with rarely the need for outboard processors or even EQ. The Berlin 47-T has rich low end with a little sparkle on top! It is a tri-polar microphone with selectable Cardioid, Figure-8, and Omni pickup patterns.
