The Useful Arts BFS MKIII Tube Instrument Preamp/DI brings rich, real-deal tube tone to bass, guitar, keyboards, and acoustic instruments with pickups.

Built as a serious studio DI with audiophile sonics and road-ready toughness, it gives players and engineers a beautifully musical way to capture instruments with depth, warmth, and unmistakable character. Designed from the legacy of the Useful Arts BF-1 and BF-S Pro, the BFS MKIII adds modern refinements while keeping the focus on honest, inspiring tone. Its ultra-high impedance input helps preserve the natural personality of the instrument, while the Color control introduces tube-generated second harmonic richness when you want extra warmth and density. The all-tube 2-band EQ provides musical shaping with hand-tuned curves, while the 50 Hz brick-wall high-pass filter helps clean up low-end rumble before it hits your recording chain. With balanced XLR and TRS outputs, a Thru jack, ground lift, and effects loop, the BFS MKIII is a flexible front end for professional studios, live rigs, and any player who wants their instrument to sound full, clear, and alive.
