The Universal Audio Galaxy '74 Tape Echo & Reverb Pedal is a stereo delay pedal with classic mid-'70s analog echo effects and spring reverb, tap tempo, and adjustable realtime effects and oscillation sounds via the UAFX Control app.

Built upon award-winning UAFX dual-engine processing and an unquenchable thirst for sonic authenticity, Galaxy '74 Tape Echo & Reverb captures the warm, warped, relentlessly analog effects of the iconic mid-'70s Roland Space Echo* hardware, for a crayon box of lush textures, right at your feet.

Swim in Warm, Gritty Delay Textures
Get iconic tape textures filled with the musical wow and flutter and saturation of the original Space Echo unit, and use the multi-head design — along with doubled delay times and tap tempo — to create rhythmic subdivisions not possible on the original hardware. You can even bend minds in realtime with self-oscillation for crazy runaway delay effects.

Get Lost in Cavernous Spring Reverb
Only Galaxy '74 gives you the authentic dub-heavy effects of the original's spring reverb — along with a Dwell control for even wilder sounds — hurtling your tone into the cosmos, with textures that leave other emulators of this hallowed hardware behind in a puff of space dust.

Traverse the Cosmos with Dual Stereo Effect Engines
Galaxy '74's powerful engine runs separate stereo instances of each reverb and delay — for stunning three-dimensional stereo depth that is unmatched by any other stompbox.

Personalize your Pedal with a Mobile App
With the UAFX Control app, you can tweak footswitch settings, adjust realtime effects, and customize unique oscillation sounds to blast your tones into the stratosphere.

Power Requirements
All UAFX Pedals require an external power supply (sold separately). The Universal Audio UAFX Power Supply is a 9v DC/400mA wall-wart style isolated power supply. It is a universal power supply and includes multiple plug adapters (for the US, UK, EU, and AUS/NZ), so you are good to go with your UAFX Pedal, around the globe!

Best tape echo pedal out there?
    Evan Gitterman

There are a few common complaints about the UAFX pedals - the lack of MIDI support and the proprietary app / unreliable Bluetooth connection among them. But if you ignore the modern digital features and think of this as two Roland Space Echos in a compact box with nice knobs and tap tempo, then the value is incredible. I love having both bass and treble controls, and the stereo image is rich and complex due to the independent tape warble of each side. Some people complain about the image occasionally collapsing to mono - this is an inherent issue with sending a mono input signal to two hard-panned tape delays that are set to the same delay time. It would be nice if UA offered an option to change this behavior, but I'm using this pedal mostly with stereo signals and I find it enhances the stereo image better than most (sum-to-mono) stereo delay pedals. I do wish the pedal had a better interface than the ALT switch and alternate controls, but overall it's quite easy to use. Most importantly, it just sounds great.
