Power Requirements
All UAFX Pedals require an external power supply (sold separately). The Universal Audio UAFX Power Supply is a 9v DC/400mA wall-wart style isolated power supply. It is a universal power supply and includes multiple plug adapters (for the US, UK, EU, and AUS/NZ), so you are good to go with your UAFX Pedal, around the globe!

The Universal Audio Enigmatic ’82 didn’t take long to win us over once we plugged it in. While spending time with it in the studio, it immediately felt familiar in a very comforting way. We’re no strangers to classic high-gain amp tones, and the Enigmatic lands squarely in that zone — responsive, punchy, and full of character. It doesn’t try to be a one-to-one replacement for a beloved tube amp, but it absolutely captures the feel and attitude that makes those amps inspiring to play. What really impressed us is how usable it is in real-world situations. During demo sessions, the Enigmatic consistently delivered a solid, mix-ready tone that felt right under the fingers and sat beautifully without much fuss. It’s easy to imagine taking this on the road with a good guitar, running straight to front of house, and getting a dependable sound night after night — all while knowing your actual amp is safe and sound back home (and not bouncing around in a trailer). UA clearly put a lot of thought into this one, and it shows. The Enigmatic ’82 is a killer amp-in-a-box that sounds great, feels right, and makes a strong case for traveling light without sacrificing tone.
