The Teegarden Audio Magic Pre 4100 Preamp brings exceptional clarity, punch, and musical detail to your recordings with four channels of premium, discrete solid-state microphone preamplification.
Hand-built in the USA, this professional microphone preamp combines vintage-inspired circuit design with modern performance, delivering the kind of open, accurate sound that lets your microphones and instruments shine. Whether you're tracking drums, recording acoustic instruments, or capturing a powerful vocal performance, the Magic Pre 4100 provides the headroom, detail, and natural character that serious recording engineers demand. No unnecessary bells and whistles here, just outstanding sound and a straightforward design that puts the music first! Designed by Bret Teegarden and the team at Teegarden Audio, the Magic Pre 4100 draws upon decades of professional audio experience and extensive listening tests. Its fully discrete, solid-state Class AB architecture is engineered to preserve the natural character of the source while delivering impressive transient response, low noise, and plenty of output headroom. Rather than chasing exaggerated coloration, the Magic Pre 4100 focuses on capturing performances with exceptional accuracy, definition, and a satisfying sense of musical punch. This makes it an excellent choice for everything from delicate acoustic guitar and detailed percussion to electric guitars, vocals, and multi-microphone drum recordings. The Magic Pre 4100 also delivers the practical functionality recording engineers need in a busy studio. High-quality Sifam VU meters provide clear visual feedback for gain staging, while phantom power accommodates condenser microphones and the switchable pad helps manage high-output sources. Its rugged, rackmountable construction and carefully selected electronic components reflect Teegarden Audio's commitment to long-term reliability and uncompromising audio quality. With four channels of professional microphone preamplification in a compact rackmount design, the Magic Pre 4100 is an excellent centerpiece for any recording studio looking to upgrade its front end without sacrificing simplicity or sonic integrity.
