The Synergy Soldano SLO II Preamp Module is an all-tube, two-channel preamp that emulates the legendary Soldano SLO-100 amplifier.
The Synergy Soldano SLO II Preamp Module is designed to be used with Synergy's modular hardware systems. It offers independent EQ, Crunch/Overdrive, and Normal/Tight switches for extensive tonal control, delivering the iconic thick, clear gain and endless sustain of the original amp. Designed by Mike Soldano himself, it provides an upgraded and more versatile way to achieve high-gain tones, from classic rock crunch to molten leads, through interchangeable cartridges for different tones in a single amplifier head.
CATHODE SELECT SWITCH
The Synergy Soldano SLO II Preamp Module features a three-position switch on the PCB which allows you to configure the input tube bass response to match the original circuit of the selected module. This will affect the feel and tightness.
Synergy Soldano SLO II Preamp Module Features
- Based on SLO-100: The design is based on Mike Soldano's famous SLO-100 amplifier, capturing its signature thick, creamy gain and sustain.
- Two Independent Channels: Each channel has its own Gain, Bass, Middle, and Treble controls, allowing for distinct sounds on each channel.
- Crunch/Overdrive Switch: This switch per channel lets you select between different gain stages, from classic crunch to high-gain overdrive.
- Normal/Tight Switch: This new addition provides a variation on the original SLO sound, with the "Tight" setting offering a more compressed and focused low-end, while the "Normal" setting provides a bigger, rounder sound.
- All-Tube Design: The module is powered by two 12AX7 preamp tubes to deliver rich, harmonically complex tones.
