The Synergy DRECT Preamp Module is a two-channel, all-tube module that captures the iconic, high-gain tone of a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier amplifier.

The Synergy DRECT Preamp Module is designed to be used with Synergy's modular hardware systems. It features two independent, identical channels, each with its own Gain, Volume, 3-Band EQ, and Presence controls, along with an "Orange" (crunch) or "Red" (high-gain) mode switch. The module uses two 12AX7 preamp tubes and can be easily installed and removed from compatible Synergy, Egnater, or Randall chassis, with a special switch for use in older single-channel hardware. 

CATHODE SELECT SWITCH
The DRECT module features a three-position switch on the PCB which allows you to configure the input tube bass response to match the original circuit of the selected module. This will affect the feel and tightness.

DUAL<>SINGLE SLIDE SWITCH
The DRECT module features a secondary switch allowing the new Synergy modules to be used in older single channel Egnater and Randall modular amps/preamps that do not accept the dual channel modules. This allows access to either of the module channels when that slot is turned on.

  • All-Tube Tone: Powered by two 12AX7 preamp tubes for a rich, harmonic, and powerful sound. 
  • Dual Channels: Two identical, independent, and foot-switchable channels. 
  • Channel Voicing: Each channel has an "Orange" (crunch) and "Red" (high-gain) switch, mimicking the vintage and modern modes of the original amplifier. 
  • Comprehensive Controls: Each channel includes Gain, Volume, a 3-Band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble), and a Presence control. 
  • Modular Design: Designed to work with Synergy's modular amp heads and single-unit systems like the SYN1. 
  • Legacy Hardware Compatibility: A Dual/Single switch allows it to be used with older single-channel Egnater and Randall modular amps and preamps. 
  • Input Bias Control: A 3-position cathode select switch allows you to configure the input tube bias for optimal gain and bass response.
