The Synergy Fortin Killer Kali Preamp Module is an all-tube, two-channel module designed by Mike Fortin for Synergy's modular amplifier system, emulating the high-gain sound of the Fortin Cali amplifier.

The Synergy Fortin Killer Kali Preamp is designed to be used with Synergy's modular hardware systems. It features two independent, identical channels with dual cascaded gain controls, interactive three-position bright switches for versatile tone shaping, and innovative "Violence" and "SAT" switches that add extra gain stages and compression for extreme high-gain tones. The module also includes a three-position EQ shape switch for different mid-range voicings and is powered by two 12AX7 tubes.  

CATHODE SELECT FUNCTION
The Synergy Fortin Killer Kali Preamp Module features a patented three-position switch on the PCB, which allows you to configure the input tube bass response to match the original circuit of the selected module. This will affect the feel and tightness.

Synergy Fortin Killer Kali Preamp Module Features

  • Two Identical Channels: Each channel is independent and offers a full spectrum of tones from vintage to modern high-gain. 
  • Cascaded Gain Stages (Gain 1 & Gain 2): Each channel has two gain controls that interact with each other and the bright switches for dynamic sound shaping. 
  • Three-Way Bright Switches: These switches control the high-end response and interact with the gain, similar to a classic Marshall Plexi or JCM800 bright control. 
  • "Violence" Switch: Activates an additional tube gain stage for even more aggressive, explosive overdrive. 
  • "SAT" (Saturation) Switch: Adds a clipping circuit for increased compression and a tighter, more saturated tone. 
  • Three-Way EQ Shape Switch: Allows you to select different mid-range voicings, including British-style, scooped, and a hybrid tone. 
  • All-Tube Design: Uses two 12AX7 tubes to deliver rich harmonic complexity and responsive dynamics. 
  • Modular System Compatibility: Designed to be easily installed and removed from Synergy's modular docks, allowing quick switching between different preamp tones.
