Great little box!
May 17th 2022I bought two of these (one for a friend and one for me). I use this in my home for songwriting sessions, demos and to quickly capture ideas, and plan to use it as a compact remote recording rig . It is quick to setup. I continue to be amazed how well these preamps sound. They are fairly clean and punchy. With these preamps, you have a great slate for post-mixing, etc. They take compression and EQ well, and you can basically shape the tracks into whatever you want. Engaging the 4K adds to the sound. I have become a huge SSL fan. I have the VHD preamp/611 Dynamics 500/611 EQ (I frickin' love this EQ) for use as a channel strip. I also have the 6CH 500 module, which you should look at as well. Tracking through the SSL gear just makes it sound like a record and makes it easier to mix. I believe you can make really great sounding music using this interface, and mixing in the box.

Great bang for your buck!
Apr 19th 2020Very happy with this product! I recently upgraded to this from a Scarlett2i2. There's a noticeable improvement in my overall sound, and I love the knobs. As a voice artist I'm often having to ride the gain with dynamic reads. The knob markings and placement makes it easy to keep track of which gain levels work best. Also, shipping was super fast. Thank you, Front End!
