At the heart of the Tubedrve Stereo Tube Saturator are two 6J2P (6AS6 compatible) pentode tubes running at proper high voltage for genuine analog saturation. A dedicated Triode/Pentode switch allows you to choose between smoother, even-harmonic-driven warmth (triode mode) or a more aggressive, odd-harmonic-forward texture with added compression (pentode mode). The gain structure, 12-position bias control, and matched stereo controls ensure accurate recall and consistent stereo imaging, making it equally at home on mix bus, drum bus, synths, guitars, or mastering chains.
Beyond traditional saturation
The Tubedrve features a flexible analog stereo filtering system that allows you to distort only specific frequency ranges. With multiple filter modes, you can apply low-pass or high-pass filtering to the wet signal, or engage crossover-style operation where lows are saturated while highs remain clean - or vice versa. Parallel dry/wet controls make it easy to dial in subtle enhancement or full harmonic destruction, while dual analog meters provide visual feedback of tube drive level. Relay-switched balanced bypass ensures signal integrity even when powered off, and a universal power supply (85–265VAC) makes it ready for studios worldwide.
