Excellent mic for the price
May 26th 2011I just discovered this mic a few months back and it is a great workhorse. I do a fair amount of stuff with horns and depending on the session, I often don't have enough ribbon mics (my fav for the application) to go around. Most new condensers (especially ones at this price point) seem to have an overly bright top end...not the case with this one. I've been very please with using this on trumpet, trombone and sax in a big band setting. Worth a shot if you looking for a darker/fatter sounding condenser!
