We’ve spent plenty of time using Heritage Audio gear in the studio, and one thing that’s always been consistent is the build quality and transparency of their passive designs. The moment we plugged it in, it fell squarely into the “why didn’t this exist sooner?” category. The Synth Buddy is one of those brilliantly simple tools that just does its job without getting in the way. It’s easy to use, completely transparent, and built like it’s meant to live on a desk or in a rack for years without a second thought. While it’s marketed toward synth setups, we quickly realized it’s just as handy for routing any stereo source you want to manage cleanly and passively. And yes… that absolutely includes guitars (we won’t name names, but we see you). It’s a no-nonsense utility that solves a real studio problem, and once it’s in place, it’s hard to imagine working without it.
