The Handcrafted Labs Solution Compressor is a dual-mono opto-leveling amplifier. Handcrafted Solution is designed from the legendary Teletronix LA-2A, but with a number of improvements. Ultimately allowing you to easily control dynamics while adding amazing character to your tracks!

The Handcrafted Labs Solution Compressor is truly a tank. It's an opto-leveling amplifier meaning the attack and release times depend on the input signal. This allows you to tweak the input signal to creatively control the dynamic range but give your tracks more depth while keeping it as "punchy" as possible. And being that it's designed on the familiar LA-2A, the Handcrafted Solution really is a breeze to use! The chain design is based on four Soviet military tubes – two dual triode for the first/second stage (6N5P) and two dual triodes for the third stage (6N14P). The signal path for the Handcrafted Solution is pure tube and all stages are hand built with high quality shielded oxygen-free wire and film capacitors.

As with all Handcrafted Labs products, the Solution was HAND CRAFTED with premium components. Handcrafted is the name of the company and how they operate. Heck, even their packaging foam is hand cut.     You can’t beat the value of this compressor. Very smooth and has character. Toroidal transformers. So far I’ve like it on everything I’ve put through it.

The Handcrafted Labs Solustion is more than a common Tube Optical Compressor, in that it offers features that are not common place on other more traditional Tube-Opto comps. With the different modes of Feed Forward and Feed Back, as well as amp operations between Cascode Driver and Class A, this has a significant effect on the behavior and tone of the compressor. Further the Low Cut helps alter the reaction/behavior of the comp, thus making this one of the most versatile Tube-Opto Comps on the market today. While drawing inspiration from the LA-2A, the Solution is anything but a clone – though it can sound familiar.
