The Drawmer 1979 Channel Strip brings the clarity, flexibility, and musicality of classic analog front-end processing into a powerful modern 1U design.

Combining an ultra-clean preamp, dynamic Lift module, vintage-style 3-band parametric EQ, and a silky soft-knee FET compressor, the 1979 gives engineers complete control over tone, detail, and dynamics in any recording situation. Whether tracking vocals, acoustic instruments, guitar amps, drums, or voiceover, the 1979 delivers the unmistakable Drawmer sound with surgical precision and intuitive workflow. Built around a THAT-based preamplifier with up to 66 dB of stepped gain, the 1979 offers mic, line, and instrument DI inputs, plus switchable mic impedance to perfectly match ribbons, dynamics, and condensers. The Lift circuit provides natural low-level enhancement by applying dynamic gain only to signals below 0 dB—ideal for vocals, fingerpicked guitars, piano, and other sources where subtle detail can get lost. With a vintage-inspired 3-band parametric equalizer, a fully controllable Drawmer FET compressor, flexible routing options (EQ before or after compression), parallel wet/dry mix control, and a large backlit VU meter, the 1979 delivers the full power of a professional analog channel strip in a refined, modern package.
