DPA Violin Mounting clip for 4099 microphone...
    Stu Miller

Haven't actually used this yet. Rcently I had the opportunity mic a fiddle player using my DPA 4099G mic. I had to use the guitar clamp that came with the microphone (it was awkward but it worked). The sound quality was outstanding (as I imagined it would be). The fiddle player liked the ability to move around and not be 'tied' to the microphone-on-a-mic-stand situation. I now have the violin clip for the next time I mic up a fiddle player. The violin clip is overpriced of course but I suppose you're paying for the convenience, etc. Even though I haven't used it yet I gave it the same rating as I give my guitar clamp because it's working the same way so I'm sure it'll be fine.
