With up to 72dB of mic gain and independent Preamp Gain and Channel Fader controls, it gives you plenty of control for tracking vocals, drums, guitars, bass, and more.
Designed for engineers who crave bold, forward sound with exceptional control, the VP28 is a versatile two-stage mic and line preamp designed to bring the feel and flexibility of a classic analog console channel to your 500-Series rack. Separate Preamp Gain and Channel Fader controls let you shape the gain structure in different ways, whether you want a cleaner, more open sound or want to push the preamp harder for additional harmonic character while controlling the final level with the fader. With up to 72dB of mic gain, the VP28 Platinum has plenty of power for everything from condensers to low-output dynamic and ribbon microphones. An 80Hz high-pass filter, selectable input impedance, 18dB pad, phantom power, polarity reverse, and output metering make it an incredibly flexible preamp for recording drums, vocals, guitars, bass, and just about anything else you throw at it.
