Introducing the New Lindell Audio LiN2A Vintage Leveling Amplifier

The LiN2A Vintage Leveling Amplifier by Lindell Audio has been designed to reproduce the tone and user-friendly operation of the king of optical tube compressors. Thanks to its T4BLA opto element by Black Lion Audio, the LiN2A delivers true, transparent tube-driven optical compression and limiting ideal for vocals, bass, kick and more. With its simple two-knob operation, program-dependent ‘2A-style’ ratio, and optocell dictated attack and release control, it's very hard to get a bad sound from the LiN2A.

Additional features include a USA-made transformer, ≈3:1 compression and ∞:1 limiting, balanced ins and outs, and a vintage-style VU for monitoring output and gain reduction.

The Lindell LiN2A is an exceptional piece of gear with solid components, especially considering the affordable price tag for a ‘2A-style’ unit! Being an optical compressor/limiter, the LiN2A doesn’t get any easier to use and does its job very well. While auditioning the unit here at Front End Audio, I particularly enjoyed it in limit mode. It sounded so smooth, especially on lead vocals. I recommend trying it on bass too! It fattens a track just the way you'd expect from a tube compressor. All around, it’s an excellent piece of hardware and a great addition to any studio!
