HEDD announces MK2 Monitors and BASS Subwoofers

HEDD's new MK2 series of pro studio monitors, as well as their new BASS Subwoofers will be available starting January 2021 and comes equipped with a powerful DSP board that enables 3 unique features!

1. On-board Lineariser®:

Implemented in the MK2 and subwoofer models is the Lineariser®, a phase linearisation tool that leads to perfect impulse response and an audibly improved spatial reproduction.

The MK2 Monitors have a new and improved lacquer for higher durability and better looks. The monitors will also be available in white.

2. CoP (Closed or Ported) Technology:

The MK2 series makes it possible to use the speakers with or without bass-ports. Users can now choose between the energy and bass-capacities of a modern bass-port design and the painstaking precision and control of a closed cabinet approach. By offering removable plugs for the bass ports, combined with advanced FIR (Finite Impulse Response filtering), users have the choice between these two worlds: A pin-point transient response / optimum accuracy (closed cabinet approach) or the advantages of a dynamic and low-reaching bass-ported design with increased SPL.

3. Phase Linear Sub-Satellite System:

HEDD are introducing a completely phase linear Sat-Sub system. These are the first Satellite Sub systems that are completely “…right in time” by applying switchable group delay at the satellite output. The potential listener distances between subwoofers and satellites can be compensated in a ± 2 m range.

SUBWOOFER

In addition to the new studio monitor models, two powerful and equally unique subwoofers called BASS 08 (8“ woofer) and BASS 12 (12“ woofer) are being released. These subwoofers can be combined with the previous models as well as any other active speaker system. However, their full potential lies in the seamless integration with the new HEDD MK2 models.
