The Behringer P16-HQ Personal Monitoring Mixer is a personal monitoring mixer for musicians, providing each performer with a custom 16-channel mix. Part of Behringer's Powerplay system, the P16-HQ is ideal for studio and stage use to ensure crystal-clear, customized monitoring.
The Behringer P16-HQ builds on the success of the Behringer P16-M, an industry favorite. It features a new high-quality D-A converter, output amplifier, a design refresh and more! The P16-HQ is a great and affordable way to give performers control over their own monitor mix; leaving room for engineers to create the best overall mix possible. The P16-HQ includes a new digital-to-analog converter with a dynamic range of 114dB, coupled with a new high-quality amplifier stage providing improved performance and volume, especially with low-impedance headphones and in-ears. The P16-HQ sports a new look while maintaining the intuitive control surface that made P16-M so popular! All surface controls such as the 16 channel buttons, level, pan/balance controls have their own backlighting and LED indicators. All knobs and buttons are easily visible thanks to the backlighting and LED indicators added across the control surface. This allows the user to adjust on-the-fly, even on a dimly lit stage.
The Powerplay System:
This is part of Behringer's Powerplay System. It is a comprehensive personal monitoring solution designed for musicians and sound engineers in both studio and live settings. It empowers each individual to create and control their own custom monitor mix, enhancing performance clarity and communication! There are four components in the Behringer Powerplay system:
- Behringer P16-I Input Module: this is the main HUB of the system. All analog audio is fed to the P16-I and with a single CAT5 cable, you can send up to 16 channels of audio to individual P16-HQ personal mixers
- Behringer P16-HQ Personal Monitoring Mixer: This is the mixer itself. With the P16-HQ, you have plenty of control over all 16 inputs fed to your P16-I Input Module and can create the perfect monitor mix!
- Behringer P16-D Distribution Module: this piece is optional and ideal for larger setups. The P-16D allows you to expand the system for up to 48 individual personal mixes!
- Behringer P16-MB Mounting Bracket: This allows you to mount your P16-HQ to any standard mic stand or drum stand!
