The Allen & Heath ME-1 Personal Monitor Mixer is probably the most sophisticated personal mixer on the market, giving precision control over up to 40 channels to satisfy the most demanding ears.

The Allen & Heath ME-1 Personal Monitor Mixer is a small 40 channel mixer with a mono/stereo or headphone output. The OLED display provides information about level, selected audio source, etc. The ME-1 Personal Mixer puts the musician in control of their own monitor mix. Each performer can be given a tailored setup that works perfectly for them, whether they crave maximum control over the fine details of their mix or just want the minimum of keys to press. Operation is intuitive and elegant, with simple controls, clear visual feedback and custom naming for instant familiarity. The ME-1 Personal is the cornerstone of the ME Personal Mixing System and is ready to use with the Allen & Heath iLive and GLD series digital mixers. The Allen & Heath ME-1 is complemented by the ME-U hub, which opens up the benefits of ME to users of other professional digital mixers via Dante, EtherSound or MADI. The Allen & Heath ME-1 also has an Aviom® compatibility mode for use with Aviom® Pro16® systems.

16 Backlit Keys
Each key is assignable to a single mono or stereo source (e.g. bass guitar) or to a group of sources (e.g. the whole drumkit).

16 User Presets
Levels, pan, mutes and key assignments can all be stored and recalled at the touch of a button. Presets can also be stored to USB and recalled on any Allen & Heath ME-1 unit.

Groups
Sources can be grouped within the Allen & Heath ME-1, so each performer can use different groups without consuming buses on the main console.

Custom Naming
The Allen & Heath ME-1 can display custom names for all channels and groups. The Allen & Heath ME-1s connected to a dLive or SQ mixer automatically pick up names from the console.

Built-in Ambient Mic
The ambient mic keeps performers in touch with the stage sound and lets them hear the audience and communicate with each other without needing to pull out their ear pieces.

Which ME is right for ME?
Although superficially similar, the Allen & Heath ME-1 and ME-500 are quite different solutions for different types of users and scenarios. For resident artists (such as a broadcast house band or church praise band), shows with high channel counts and plenty of rehearsal time, the Allen & Heath ME-1 allows the engineer to configure each unit to perfectly reflect each artist’s tastes and needs. For budget-conscious or low channel count applications, or for more impromptu scenarios where the engineer and artists have very limited soundcheck time (festivals being the typical example), ME-500 is a great solution for getting the show up and running with minimum fuss.
