    Worth the upgrade

    I’m coming from Pro tools 11 and this was a much needed upgrade and I’m glad Avid is back with perpetual licenses. I enjoy the flow in Pro tools even though the production in Logic Pro makes more sense to me as a keyboard player. Regardless, the upgrade and the updates provided for the year were well worth the price, including the plug-in package and the new look.

    I’m glad perpetual licenses are back. I really enjoyed editing mixes in Pro Tools, even though I prefer doing my production in Logic Pro, I really love the work flow in Pro tools. The upgrade from Pro tools 11 to ultimate 2024 was a great upgrade including new plugins and a new outlook. I’m forward to the updates included within a year.

    I am happy with Front End ... but not with Avid. The entering of your activation and authorization with Avid is byzantine. They send me to multiple pages and when I finally get where they say I am supposed to go in my PT perpetual license, the link they send me there for is not on the page. I have a request in to Avid support to help me with the renewal activation. The whole process is a disservice to the resellers who ought to be complaining to Avid.
